South Asian Idea has carried a trilogy or articles and a tribute by Maj Gen Raj Mehta, AVSM, VSM (retired), paid to this valiant son of India  who sacrificed everything and brought laurels to the nation. On 7th April 2012, the nation unveiled a bust of the martyr and named the main block of College of Material Management in Jabalpur after him. The media paid glowing tributes to this brave son of the soil…some of which are carried above.

May god bless his soul and may he motivate generations of Indians to Do ordinary things extraordinarily

The amount of respect and affection shown by South Asian Idea for India’s uniformed bravehearts is amazing. How I wish there would be an ‘infection’ of such passion for those who have their all for the nation. We waste time, instead, in talking about our deficiencies, problems and challenges, without ever weighing in on our strengths.

Much of the audio-visual media is investing so much of time in breaking news that is negative, but drives/attracts viewership and therefore ads and moolah. The print media is divided between those sworn to run the country down and those who are reporting honestly. Everyone knows who these people are.

About time that we start respecting those who rush to raise the flag each time there is a call; always regardless of loss of life.

SAI has set a wonderful example that is worth emulating. Thank you, Editors.

I agree with Gen Raj Mehta in what he his inferences are about the commendable job SAI has been doing so far with excellent write ups.I have been going thru all the mails in vivid details n very strongly feel that the time has now come for our audio-visual media too to start devoting n investing some time on something positive too on the lines of SAI.People on the contrary are sick of so called breaking news flashed every now n then by our media.

Hats off to the team of Editors of SAI for the excellent job they have done so far.I salute them for this noble endeavor n hope they will continue doing so with proven record of objectivity n excellence.
      Regards

    Dear Sir,

Such an act of bravery is going unnoticed. Far from my homeland, here I am , thinking that out of so many greedy characterless moron, there are a few, for which India still runs. I am highly inspired by Gen Mehta’s “aur voir Navdeep”. Please sir, let me know in which way I can help your cause.

      Dear Sir,

Far away, in the land of milk and honey and in a nation that genuinely respects its soldiers and patriots, do please pass the word that this site is staffed by driven people who value probity and love for India above self; always and every time. Do get them to read it whenever they can.

I am neither on the Blog’s staff or pay, but feel delighted as you do, that someone from amongst the 1.2 billion of us has placed the nation above arcane considerations.

More Americans, NRI’s, PIO’s, more other nationality friends of yours in USA will perhaps develop a better idea of India than our scam a day politicians and carpet baggers can or have. We need your neighbourhood to have far more Tapan Pattanayaks.

      Thank you and warm regards,
      Raj Mehta
